The EnDat interface used by RCN 2580 is a proprietary high-speed digital serial communication protocol from HEIDENHAIN, Germany, used to achieve bidirectional data transmission between encoders and control systems. According to existing technical data, RCN 2580 is equipped with EnDat 02 (i.e. EnDat 2.2) version interface, which has significantly improved functionality and performance compared to earlier versions.
